1995 Mazda Miata
Usually, when people think of getting into cars, their first thought is to get a small, easy to work on project car. Most of the time, it's one of two options; A Honda Civic or a Mazda Miata. In my case, it was a Miata.
My Miata journey started off when I put my Supra under construction. I needed a daily and a really nice 1991 Mazda Miata popped up for sale not too far from my house. While I loved the car, for some reason, it only lasted me about 3 months. After 3 months, the poor little 1.6 decided to start knocking and that was the end of it. I then bought another 1992 1.6 Miata that I began to modify. As much as I enjoyed that one as well, the opportunity to own a really nice one came up and I pulled the trigger on it. My 1995 Mazda Miata was by far my favorite miata owned out of the 6 that I've had throughout the years since high school.
My 1995 Miata came equipped with an LSD, 1.8L Engine, and even A/C! Yes, A/C! When I first got the car, it was pretty mechanically sane. However, I wanted to a change a lot. I took 3 days swapping everything over from my 1992 Miata onto my 1995. Coilovers, exhaust, seats, roll bar, harnesses, wheels, and other good looking bits. From there, it was game time. I had a lot of fun changing the cosmetics and making this miata my own. I was able to gain quite a bit of traction on social media platforms because of the way I was building it. I had a nice set of Halo headlights, a hardtop, roll bar, a really good sounding exhaust, nice stance, and the finishing touch my 3M gloss psychedelic wrap.
As a few of you may know, this car is no longer with me after a major accident I had back in 2019. Thankfully, that little car did its job and kept me alive. I thank Tati (the name of my miata) for keeping me safe. I know you're living through parts that other people were able to salvage off of you and put to good use. I hope car heaven is treating you well! <3
